Since moving to Riga from the US three years ago with his wife Latvian-American wife, Anita, Kevin Michael Irlen has been devoting his time to music and to creative coding projects. For the past year, he has been using his software program “Multipolar” to explore symmetry, shape, and color using mathematical formulas. This has led to dozens of unexpectedly beautiful images (see https://www.instagram.com/multipolardigital/), a selection of which were printed and framed for Kevin’s first art show at Galerija Istaba this past September.

Kevin and Anita are donating one of their favorites, archer1, which viewers often call “the angel” — because it seems embued with a grace and strength that resonate with the Christmas spirit.
